The Auburn Enlarged City School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Kelly Garback as principal at Casey Park Elementary School effective June 14, 2017.
With 17 years of educational experience, Garback is undoubtedly ready to take on the position. She holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Building and District Administration, as well as a Master’s Degree in Special Education. Most recently, she has been serving as the Interim Principal at Casey Park Elementary while also maintaining her role as the Director of Early Learning for the district.
Garback assumed the Director of Early Learning position with the Auburn School District three years ago. Prior to that, she worked in the Jamesville-DeWitt School District as an Instructional Specialist for ELA and Math and as an elementary teacher. Because of her experiences, she has become a leader with a solid understanding of the educational process in its entirety.
“Over the past three years in Auburn, I have had the privilege of working closely with amazing administrators, teachers, staff, students, and families who have allowed me to play an integral role in virtually every aspect of our schools,” said Garback.
“I am very fortunate to have had these experiences and have truly enjoyed becoming part of the Auburn community.”
Garback has a strong commitment to community engagement and effective teaching practices in order to maximize student achievement. Her dedication, along with her acquired skills and experiences, are sure to make her a very effective administrator.
